Chess club, run by Jack Talarsky, meets Wednesdays from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The first question we asked Jack was: Why did you make chess club? “To help people learn chess and improve [himself],” Jack said.
The next question was: Why should people join chess club? “It’s a great place to meet new people, and you can put it on a resume, studies show that it helps you think and strategize better.” He said.
The third question was: Why do you enjoy chess? “I’ve been playing it for years and it’s overall a fun game.”
The fourth question asked was: Is the club difficult to run? Before he answered this, he said something about handling this question like a politician and then said “We have had technical difficulties in the past, but this year we will be fully functioning and welcome to all.”
The fifth question was: Do you think that knowing how to play chess is a skill more people should know? “Come join the chess club,” Jack responded.
